The Discoverer is a Player class that gives bonuses to research and expeditions.

- Research Bonus (-25% research time)
- Expedition Bonus (exponentially greater gain on successful expeditions)
- Planet Size (+10% larger planets on colonisation)
- Expedition Debris Fields (Debris fields created on expeditions will be visible in the Galaxy view.)
- More Expeditions (+2 expeditions)
- Increased Phalanx Range (+20% phalanx range)
- Increased Inactive Plunder (75% loot from inactive players)
