The Researcher is a Alliance class that gives bonuses in research, expeditions, and phalanx ability. The bonuses apply to all members of the alliance.

- 10% speed bonus to ships on an expedition (flight time only, not expedition time)
- Ability to use the System phalanx which is like the normal phalanx but for an entire system at once
- 10% increase in storage space
